Cayman Brac Beaches

Although Brac is notable for its seaside cliffs rather than its beaches, there are a couple of sandy areas.

Along with the resort beaches, the Public Beach on the island's south side offers plenty of sunny solitude. Resort beaches are found at Brac Reef Beach Resort.

WARNING!

Manchineel trees present an unusual danger. These trees, often found near water, have highly acidic leaves and fruit. Rainwater dropping off the leaves can cause painful burns and the tree's tiny, poisonous apples will also burn when stepped on. In most resorts, manchineel trees have been removed or are clearly marked, often with signs and with trunks painted red.
