Classic Vacations Offering Fall Sale

When the kids go back to school, parents might start looking around for a Caribbean getaway. To help, Classica Vacations is offering value packages called Caribbean Treasures this fall at top luxury resorts including Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman.

"The Fall is one of the most exquisite times in the Caribbean, yet few people know about it," said Mike Flory, vice president of Product at Classic Vacations. "Travelers can revel in golf, spa and other activities offered by our resorts to provide great value in booking fall travel to the Caribbean. In addition, several airlines offer reduced airfares to the Caribbean during this time period. Thus, travelers can take that dream vacation guilt-free," added Flory.

Sample packages include candlelit dinners, spa credits, golf, and beach cabanas.

To cover its travelers in the event of price increases and unforeseen itinerary changes, Classic Vacations has recently introduced its enhanced Travel Smart Plan(TM) program.

Message in a Bottle Means Cayman Wedding, Honeymoon

We just read a neat story in the Cayman Compass; a Texas couple will be marrying and honeymooning on Grand Cayman thanks to a message in a bottle that was dropped off Grand Cayman 20 years ago! Tortuga Rums had a special promotion, dropping messages in bottles. Each message contained an offer for a one-way ticket to Grand Cayman and a three night stay at Sunset House. The bottle was found near Aransas Pass, Texas by a policeman who will soon become a groom. The couple's air has been made round trip by Cayman Airways and the three-night stay is now a five night honeymoon thanks to Sunset House.

The Program: Camp Cayman is offered in July and August. The cost is $175 per child, per day and includes lunch. Here's a rundown of the programs:

Activities are customized for all ability levels with at least two instructors supervising each group. Offered Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday, 10:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

* Tennis
Both aspiring champions and beginners can receive instruction from a Bollettieri pro. Drills, workouts and match play are conducted on three clay courts. Wimbledon hopefuls may even try their game on one of the Caribbean's only grass courts. Players take home a DVD souvenir of their newly perfected backhand featuring a personal play analysis of their stroke. Offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. / 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. (With a break from the midday sun)

* Ambassadors of the Environment by Jean-Michel Cousteau
Summer is the best time to experience the innovative AOTE program.
