Update on Passport Initiative
You may have heard that the US Congress has amended the proposed Western Hemisphere Passport Initiative. Here's a summary of the latest version:• Starting January 8, 2007, US citizens will need a passport to return to the US by air. If you fly home from Cayman, you will have to have a valid passport. Expect a huge rush at the very end of the year so get that passport right away.
• Cruise passengers will have longer, probably until mid-2009, to obtain a passport.
